Hokkaido dairy gets its own counter on T1’s 2F
MILK STAND esperio sits pre-security on the 2F of Asahikawa Airport’s T1, running steady from 8:00 to 20:00. It’s a small counter focused on Hokkaido milk-based sweets, more snack stop than sit-down café, so think quick sugar hit before you head upstairs to security.
This is one of the airport’s few pure dessert spots, and it leans into local dairy: soft-serve, puddings, and milk drinks built around Hokkaido cream. You’re still landside, so it works for both arrivals and anyone seeing people off, and the 12-hour opening window covers the first and last ANA flights most days.
Portions tend to be single-serving and grab-and-go, so you can finish a cone or cup in under 10 minutes and still make an 18:00 departure without stress. Prices sit squarely in airport-snack territory rather than full-meal levels; expect to spend less than the cost of a sit-down lunch upstairs for a sweet and a drink combo.
There’s no full kitchen here, just a compact dessert operation, so don’t come looking for curry rice or noodles before a 13:30 flight. Use it to top off after a proper meal elsewhere in T1, or as a light fix if you’ve already eaten on a 90-minute hop from Tokyo.
Seats in front of the stand are limited and shared with other 2F shops, and they fill fast around the 11:00–13:00 bank of departures. If those are packed and you have a 15:00 boarding time, take everything to go and head closer to the security checkpoint instead.
Tip: you’re still outside security, so build a 15–20 minute buffer after your stop here to clear checks and walk to domestic gates in T1.
