5-minute walk from T1 with card and cash payment

Parking Lot 1 sits directly next to Asahikawa Airport T1, about a 5-minute walk from the terminal doors, so you park, grab your bags, and head straight in. It’s the main on-airport long-stay choice here, tied into the airport’s primary payment machines and exit gates.

Daily rates run at 1,000 yen per calendar day, dropping to 900 yen per day from the 6th day onward, so longer trips out of AKJ get a small break. For week-long stays and beyond, the discount makes Parking Lot 1 the straightforward long-stay pick over off-airport guesswork.

This lot accepts both cash and cashless payment methods, a key difference from Parking Lot 2, which is cash-only. You pull a ticket from the issuing machine at the entrance gate, then pay at the exit gate; the barrier doesn’t lift until the full fee is settled.

Motorcycles have a separate, motorcycle-only entrance, and bikes are not allowed through the regular car entrances for Parking Lot 1 or 2. Drivers with disabilities can use the intercom at any exit fare adjustment machine to reach the Support Center for assistance before leaving.

• Grab the parking ticket from the entrance issuing machine before driving in, then pay right at the exit so they can roll out in one shot.

Practical tip: if you want to pay by card or other cashless method and keep the walk to around 5 minutes, aim for Parking Lot 1 over Lot 2 when you enter the airport access road.
