Next to T1, EV Charging Stations save you a walk
The EV Charging Stations sit directly next to the T1 terminal at Aracaju – Santa Maria Airport, so you park and reach the check-in area in just a couple of minutes on foot. This is as close as it gets to the building for electric vehicles, which helps if you are dropping bags or traveling with kids.
Because the chargers are beside the terminal rather than in a remote lot, you can keep your car plugged in right up to boarding time and still be at security in T1 within 5–7 minutes. That beats leaving the car in general parking and worrying about the state of charge after a long day.
The stations are within the main airport grounds at AJU, so you follow the same access road cars use for the standard car park and then look for EV signage near the terminal frontage. Being this close to the building also means better lighting and more foot traffic compared with an overflow lot several hundred meters away.
Pricing and charger speeds are not clearly published, so plan with a buffer of at least 30 extra minutes if you need a meaningful top-up before a regional flight out of T1. Treat the spot as terminal-adjacent parking first and a charging stop second, especially during peak morning and late-afternoon banks.
Tip: Aim to arrive 45–60 minutes earlier than your usual airport routine if you want to secure a terminal-side EV space next to T1 and still have time for a full check-in and security run at Santa Maria Airport.
