Gate 5 in AJF’s Main Terminal is the whole story here

Hayyak Lounge sits by Gate 5 in the Domestic/Main Terminal at Al‑Jawf, and it mainly solves one problem: somewhere to sit with AC and basic refreshments while you wait for boarding. Access runs through pay-in and several cards, including Amex Platinum via the local lounge network, so you don’t need to fly a specific airline or cabin to get in.

The space is small by Saudi domestic standards, closer to a larger waiting room than a full-service club, and tends to feel quiet outside the main evening bank of departures after 18:00. Furniture is simple armchairs and small side tables, set in rows that line up with the windows looking toward the stands used by Saudia and Flynas domestic flights.

Food is strictly snack-level: think packaged items, a few pastries, and light bites on a small buffet counter, usually laid out about an hour before the busier departures around 17:00–20:00. Expect soft drinks, tea, and coffee from a machine rather than a staffed bar, with no alcohol service as per local rules at Ajf.

Wi‑Fi comes through the lounge’s own network rather than the airport’s public system, and speeds around 5–10 Mbps are common enough for email and light streaming during a 45‑minute wait. Power outlets are mostly along the walls near the windows, so seats in the second and third rows sometimes leave you stretching a 1.5‑meter cable across the floor.

There’s a small separate room toward the back with around 6–8 seats that works as a quiet corner when families are crowding the main area before a 19:30 departure. Restrooms sit just outside the lounge doors in the public concourse near Gate 5, so factor in a two‑minute walk if you want to duck out before boarding calls.

Figure on 80–120 SAR for paid entry depending on your card or program, which makes sense only if you have at least 60 minutes before your Saudia or Flynas flight closes at the gate. Tip: if your Amex Platinum or other card gets you in free, head straight here after security rather than sitting in the general waiting hall; if you’re paying cash, check how many minutes remain on the departure screens first.
