P1 - Proximity car park sits directly next to the Ajaccio Napoléon Bonaparte terminal, with a marked walking time of about 2 minutes even with bags. It is short-stay only and priced accordingly, so think flight days and quick business runs rather than week-long holidays. With 514 spaces, it is the largest general-use option on site and usually feels like the default pick if you want to park once and walk straight into the small terminal.

The tariff starts with a useful quirk: the first 15 minutes are free. After that, it jumps to 3.20 € for 15–30 minutes, then 0.60 € per 15 minutes up to 2 hours. From 12 to 24 hours you pay a flat 12.00 €, and each additional day is 10.00 €. The pricing ramps up hard for the first couple of hours, so very short stays benefit most, while anything longer than a day starts to look pricey next to P2 or P5.

P1 also doubles as a safer alternative to the P0 drop-off, which charges 1 €/minute once you overstay. Drivers doing drop-off or pick-up runs often pull into P1 instead and use that free 15-minute window to walk passengers into the terminal or wait for bags at arrivals. You pass a standard barrier on entry and use the same ticketing system as the other airport car parks, so there is no special lane or extra registration needed.

All AJA car parks, including P1, use common payment machines located near pedestrian exits, and you can also pay by credit card directly at the barrier. After you pay, you have 15 minutes of grace to drive out before extra charges kick in. One practical tip: if your stay is likely to run past a single day, compare the flat 12.00 € + 10.00 €/day here against P2 or P5 before you commit to P1’s short-stay rates.
