Gate-side at the tiny Main terminal, this is your last shot at Alpe d’Huez merch

The Souvenir Shop sits in the Main terminal of L'Alpe d'Huez Altiport, a few steps from the single check-in area used for winter ski flights and sightseeing hops. It’s small, so think quick grab before boarding rather than a long browse. You’re airside by default here, since AHZ has just the one compact building handling both departures and arrivals.

Stock skews classic ski-resort trinkets: logo keyrings and magnets around €3–€6, basic mugs and shot glasses under €10, and occasional Alpe d’Huez-branded caps and beanies in the €15–€25 range. Expect seasonal fluctuation; in July and August, cycling-themed items linked to the Tour de France climbs show up, while winter leans harder into snow and ski icons.

Opening hours track flight activity, which at AHZ mainly means busy winter weekends and lighter weekday schedules. Don’t count on a 06:00 open: the shop typically follows the first departure wave, so treat anything before 08:00 as a maybe unless there’s a charter on the board. Afternoon closing can be early once the last rotation leaves, especially outside peak ski season from December to March.

Payment is straightforward: standard card terminals handle Visa and Mastercard, and staff are used to handling small buys from passengers catching quick hops to Grenoble or Lyon. Stock is shallow, so if you see a specific Alpe d’Huez logo item you like, buy it on the spot. Practical tip: check in first, then swing past the Souvenir Shop so you’re not that person still choosing a magnet during boarding calls.
