Short-Term Parking

Official lot

5-minute walk from T1, priced for quick stops

Short-Term Parking at Abha International Airport (AHB) sits directly in front of Terminal 1, about a 3–5 minute walk to the check-in doors. This is the official airport lot, so you’re on paved, marked bays with standard airport lighting and patrols. Use this area if you’re dropping someone for a flight or staying at the airport for under 4–6 hours.

Rates in the short‑term section typically charge by the hour instead of a flat daily fee, which adds up fast once you pass the 6–8 hour mark. It makes financial sense for airport runs, check‑in help, or quick meets in arrivals, but not for leaving your car through an overnight connection. If you’re parking past one calendar day, start comparing the daily price against any long‑term options on the same airport road.

This lot lines up directly with the main entrance to T1, so you avoid shuttle buses or extra security checks before the terminal doors. Lanes are one‑way, with payment machines and the exit barrier near the airport access road. Keep your ticket dry and flat; the machines sometimes reject crumpled barcodes and that slows everyone behind you.

There’s no reserved section for oversized vehicles, so anything longer than a regular sedan or SUV should be parked in end rows near the perimeter fence. Mark your row number on your phone; the rows closest to the T1 doors fill first during evening departures between 18:00 and 23:00. Arrive 15–20 minutes earlier than you normally would on busy holiday periods to avoid circling for a space.
