Short-hop EV top-ups are doable at AGS
The Electric Charging Stations sit next to the Main Terminal at Augusta Regional (AGS), so you can plug in just a few minutes after pulling into the airport loop. Signage on airport maps is light, and the airport doesn’t publish details on the exact number of chargers or plug types, so plan on a quick scout once you reach the curbside area. This setup works best for day trips or one- to two‑day travel where a partial charge is all you need.
Because the chargers are next to the terminal itself, you avoid the extra shuttle time that comes with the farther surface lots on the airport road. You park, lock up, and walk straight into the Main Terminal check-in area in under 5 minutes. If you’re tight on time before a Delta or American departure, this is one of the few AGS options that lets you plug in without adding another transfer step.
AGS doesn’t publish whether these are Level 2 or DC fast charging stations, and there’s no official charger count on the airport site. Assume slower Level 2 speeds and build at least 1–2 hours into your schedule if you want a meaningful bump in range before your return. If you need a full charge from nearly empty, plan your main charging stop in Augusta proper along I‑520 or I‑20 instead of relying only on the airport.
Practical tip: arrive 30–45 minutes earlier than your normal airport lead time the first time you use the Electric Charging Stations, so you have a buffer to find the units, plug in, and still clear security in the Main Terminal without rushing.
