Sarkany

Leather shoes at Argentine fashion brand Sarkany

Sarkany sits airside at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), on the domestic side of the terminal, so you need a boarding pass to browse. It’s the same Argentine label you see in Buenos Aires malls, focused on shoes, bags, and fashion accessories more than travel gear. Figure a quick 5–10 minute walk from most gates in the main concourse.

Prices run higher than downtown: leather sneakers and heels often land in the ARS 90,000–180,000 range, with smaller accessories and wallets starting closer to ARS 30,000. This is more “last‑minute style upgrade” than “cheap souvenir stop.” If you know local mall pricing, you’ll spot the markup quickly; if not, assume you’re paying airport tax for the convenience.

The racks lean heavily toward women’s fashion, with seasonal heels, sandals, and statement sneakers front and center, and a more limited men’s section off to the side. You’ll also see a few travel‑friendly pieces: cross‑body bags that work as personal items, slim backpacks that fit under the seat, and soft leather totes that still pass most airlines’ carry‑on sizers.

Staff usually hover near the entrance and will bring sizes to the fitting stool area; trying on two or three pairs can easily chew through 15–20 minutes. Returns are trickier than in town, since you’d have to come back to AEP or chase a policy through their city stores. If you’re tight on time, snap a photo of the box label and receipt; it makes any later exchange at a Buenos Aires Sarkany store much smoother.
