Baise Bama Airport Terminal

5 airlines

Terminal T1 hosts 5 airlines.

Security here usually takes under 10 minutes

Baise Bama Airport runs as a single small T1 terminal handling flights for China Express Airlines, Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines, China Eastern, Sichuan Airlines, and Okay Airways. Traffic stays light most of the day, so queues rarely build up the way they do at regional hubs like Nanning or Guilin. Most travelers move from curb to boarding gate in under half an hour if they already have a mobile boarding pass.

Check-in is simple and close to the doors

The check-in hall in T1 sits just inside the main entrance, with counters grouped by airline: look for separate banked desks for China Express and Guangxi Beibu Gulf alongside shared counters for the other carriers. With only a handful of departures in each wave, counters usually open around 90–120 minutes before flight time. Self-service kiosks are limited, so plan on using the staffed counters if you’re checking bags.

One security lane handles most departures

After check-in, passengers head to a single security screening zone that feeds all gates in T1. Because the airport schedules relatively few flights, the line often drops to just a dozen people or less outside the morning and late-afternoon banks. Even with manual inspection of electronics and liquids, most people clear security in about 5–10 minutes. Still, build a 30-minute buffer before boarding in case two departures stack up.

Gates sit a short walk from security

Once through screening, the departure hall is compact, with all gates reachable on foot in roughly 2–3 minutes. Expect ground boarding via buses or walking to the aircraft for many flights, especially on regional jets and turboprops. Boarding calls can be brief and mostly in Chinese, so keep an eye on the monitors near each gate and confirm your flight number and departure time there.

Services are very basic inside T1

There is currently no documented lounge, branded restaurant, or duty-free shop in Baise Bama Airport’s T1, and options post-security appear limited to small local kiosks and vending machines. Prices for bottled water and soft drinks usually sit in the 5–10 RMB range, noticeably cheaper than in major Chinese airports. If you want a proper meal, eat in Baise city or bring something in; just remember that liquids over 100 ml still get pulled at security.

Arrivals and ground transport are straightforward

Arriving passengers exit through a single baggage hall with only a few carousels handling flights from carriers like China Eastern and Sichuan Airlines. Bags from small aircraft typically hit the belt within 10–20 minutes of arrival. Outside the terminal, look for clearly signed taxi ranks and local bus connections into Baise; drivers often quote fixed prices in RMB per car, so confirm the amount before getting in.

One last tip: print or save your itinerary

Airport staff sometimes ask to see a printed or saved electronic itinerary, especially for flights on Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines or Okay Airways. Screenshots on your phone work fine if your app fails. Have your ID and flight details ready at check-in, and you can usually move from the front door of T1 to your gate in under 30 minutes on a normal day.

Time

Arrive with a tighter buffer than at a mega-hub—1.5–2 hours prior is plenty for domestic flights out of small-scale T1.
