Visitor Center Parking

Visitor

Base visitors park here only while processing access, then move

Visitor Center Parking at Joint Base Andrews sits by the Visitor Control Center, which handles base access for civilians, contractors, and guests. This lot functions as a short-duration staging area tied to gate security, not as Passenger Terminal or air-travel parking. There is no published daily rate, no ticket machines, and no indication that overnight parking is allowed. Treat this like you would parking at a DMV or pass office, not like leaving a car before a flight.

The Visitor Control Center is the point of contact for rules on this lot; base information channels direct parking and access questions to the VCC phone line during normal duty hours. Time limits, towing, and any special permissions come from security policy, not from a public parking operator. If you expect to stay longer than the time needed to process your ID or pass, call ahead to the Visitor Control Center and ask what’s allowed for that specific day and visit type.

Regulars who work with the base—contractors, vendors, recurring guests—usually leave their car here only long enough to complete pass issuance, then drive through the gate and use unit-designated or on-base lots. They do not treat Visitor Center Parking as a park-all-day spot while they head to the Passenger Terminal or elsewhere on base. Following that pattern keeps you clear of security headaches and avoids having your car flagged as abandoned or out of compliance.

Practical tip: plan your timing so your vehicle is in Visitor Center Parking only for the actual access appointment; if you’re flying from the Passenger Terminal at ADW, arrange on-base parking through your sponsor or unit instead of leaving a car at the Visitor Center.
