0.5 miles from T1, this is ADL’s main long-stay lot

Adelaide Airport’s Long Term Parking sits about 0.5 miles from Terminal 1, aimed at trips longer than a couple of days. It’s an open-air, long-stay car park with marked bays for standard vehicles and higher-roof spots scattered through the rows. You’re paying for duration rather than proximity here, so this is the one to book if you’re away for a week or more.

The Long Term Parking area is off Airport Road, on the main terminal approach, roughly a 2–3 minute drive past the terminal roundabout. You park your own car, keep your keys, and then either walk the 0.5 miles to T1 or wait for the shuttle when it’s operating. For early morning international departures out of T1, build at least 20–25 extra minutes into your plan from car park entry to the check-in desks.

Pricing at Long Term Parking is set on a daily rate, and it usually undercuts the Terminal car parks once you pass about the 3-day mark. The longer you stay, the better the per-day value looks compared with short-stay options closer to T1. Prebooking online often shaves a noticeable amount off the drive-up daily price, especially during school holidays and long weekends when ADL fills quickly.

The walk from Long Term Parking to T1 takes roughly 10–12 minutes at a steady pace, depending on which row you land in. Paths are paved and lit, but in heavy rain or summer heat the distance feels longer than 0.5 miles. If you’re wrangling big ski bags or multiple checked suitcases, budget extra time or plan around the shuttle timings so you’re not dragging gear the full distance.

Final tip: when you enter Long Term Parking, take a quick photo of your row marker and nearby pole number before you head to T1. After a 10-day trip, that shot saves you a slow lap around the 0.5-mile perimeter trying to spot your car in the dark.
