In Adelaide T1, the “international Qantas lounge” is a bit of a mystery.
Most forum threads about ADL talk about the Qantas Club for domestic flights at T1, Gate 18–20 area, and almost no one gives clear, first-hand detail on a separate Qantas International Business Lounge. That means expectations need to stay modest: think small regional outstation setup in the single international pier rather than a full Sydney-style business lounge.
The lounge sits airside in T1’s international section, after passport control and security, serving Qantas and partners on routes like ADL–SIN and seasonal ADL–NRT. Doors usually open about 2–3 hours before the first Qantas international departure of the day and close after the last, so if you’ve got a 06:00–07:00 long-haul you should not count on a pre-dawn arrival and nap here.
Access generally tracks Qantas international rules: Business Class passengers on QF-coded international flights from T1, oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members, and Qantas Platinum or Gold flying out of ADL on eligible services. If you’re on Qatar Airways QR989 or similar codeshares and hold oneworld Sapphire via another program, you should be able to get in, but one Flyertalk thread on Qatar Privilege Club at ADL shows people still guessing at exact guesting rules for a +1.
Pricing isn’t really a thing here since this is not a paid “Qantas Club” style lounge at the domestic end of T1; access comes via ticket class, status, or eligible passes tied to Qantas Frequent Flyer. Expect food and drink levels that match a small international outport: simple hot items around main Qantas departure banks, basic spirits and beer, and a couple of Australian wines roughly in the A$12–A$18 per-glass range if you were buying similar bottles in the terminal shops.
With no strong first-hand reports, assume limited seating and arrive about 90 minutes before an ADL–SIN style departure instead of cutting it to the last 30 minutes. The practical play at Adelaide T1: clear outbound immigration early, take a quick lap of the compact international pier to clock your actual gate number, then use the lounge mainly for Wi‑Fi and a drink rather than banking on a full restaurant-level meal.
