Terminal 1 hosts 5 airlines. It's Royal Jordanian's home turf at ADJ.
One small passenger terminal, zero terminal choice
All commercial flights at Marka International (Amman Civil) Airport run through a single passenger terminal, so there is no Terminal 1 vs Terminal 2 decision like at Queen Alia. Royal Jordanian, Air Arabia Jordan, Royal Falcon, Jazeera Airways, and Iraqi Airways all use this same building, mostly for regional routes and charter operations.
Check-in desks sit just inside the main entrance of the terminal, and walking from the curb to the farthest gate usually takes under 5 minutes because the building is compact. Security and passport control are in the same linear flow, so you move door → check-in → security → immigration without any long internal transfers or shuttle buses.
The public departures hall is basic, with standard seating and flight information screens for the handful of airlines based here, including Royal Jordanian and Jazeera Airways. With no large shopping concourse or branded food court, crowds tend to stay near their airline’s check-in area and the main seating zone opposite the counters.
Inside the secure departures area, facilities remain minimal, and walking time from security to the furthest boarding point is typically under 3 minutes. There are no catalogued restaurants, branded cafes, or duty-free shops, so plan to eat or buy any last-minute items in Amman city before you reach the airport.
Lounges are not listed in the public terminal, and the only premium space on the field is a separate VIP/business aviation facility used by private operators, distinct from the commercial passenger building. If you are flying Royal Jordanian or Iraqi Airways from the single terminal, assume standard gate seating rather than lounge access unless your ticket or handler explicitly confirms something different.
Arrivals are just as compact as departures: after landing, you pass through immigration, collect bags from a small baggage claim area, and exit landside within roughly 15–20 minutes on typical regional flights. Taxis and private cars wait directly outside the terminal exit, and the drive into central Amman generally runs around 15–20 minutes depending on traffic and your exact destination.
Plan one key move here: buy food, drinks, and any travel essentials in the city before heading to Marka, then arrive about 90 minutes before departure to clear the small terminal without stress.
