Short Stay Parking

Short stay

Most drivers at Marka just use the curb; this is the formal option.

At Amman Civil Airport (ADJ), most traffic is domestic and charter, so people usually pull up to the terminal doors, drop off, and leave. Short Stay Parking is the structured alternative: marked bays next to Terminal 1, with a posted daily rate of $30 and a weekly cap of $150. If you want something more orderly than stopping in the lane or on nearby streets, this is where you go.

The lot sits directly beside the single terminal building, roughly a 5‑minute walk to check‑in on a normal day. This is true gate‑area parking, not a remote shuttle lot. With ADJ’s limited commercial schedule, turnover is lower than at Queen Alia, so you usually find a space without circling for 20 minutes.

Pricing is simple: $30 per calendar day up to a $150 weekly maximum. For trips running four to seven days, that weekly cap saves money versus paying day‑by‑day at the curb or improvising yard parking. Anything under 24 hours is still charged as a day, so quick drop‑offs or pickups are cheaper if you keep it truly short at the terminal frontage.

This is short‑stay only, not meant for leaving a car for 10–14 days while you’re out of the country. ADJ’s role as a smaller city airport means there’s no multi‑level garage or long‑term product like you’d see at AMM. If you’re planning more than one week away, the $150 cap resets and street options or a car service start to make more sense.

Practical tip: add 10 extra minutes to your arrival time in case the bays next to Terminal 1 are full and you need to loop once before grabbing a spot.
