Main Terminal hosts Aurora Airlines.
Three or four daily flights run through Aldan’s Main Terminal
The single-building Main Terminal at Aldan Airport (code ADH, terminal code Main) handles just a handful of regional flights each day, almost all on Aurora Airlines. Everything sits in one compact structure: check-in desks, security, waiting area, and the doors out to the apron for boarding. Flight boards list only a few destinations, and schedules skew to daytime operations, so don’t count on late-night departures or arrivals.
A one-airline operation keeps check-in simple but manual
Aurora Airlines is currently the only scheduled carrier at Aldan, so all counters in the Main Terminal serve Aurora flights. Check-in usually opens about 2 hours before departure, and staff process bags and boarding passes at traditional desks rather than kiosks. With so few flights on the board, lines are short, but if two departures bunch up, the room fills quickly and seating near the desks disappears first.
Security is single-lane and close to the gates
The Main Terminal runs security through one basic checkpoint sitting only a short walk from the check-in area, with no need for internal shuttles or trains. When a departure nears, officers focus on that one flight, so the queue can stretch for 10–15 minutes, then drop to zero once boarding starts. Metal detectors and X-ray are standard; remove electronics and liquids as you would at any Russian regional airport to avoid secondary screening.
No catalogued restaurants, so bring food and water
No official café, bar, or restaurant shows up in any recent listing for Aldan’s Main Terminal, and trip reports don’t mention branded food outlets either. Depending on the day, there may be a small kiosk or vending setup, but you should assume there is nowhere reliable to buy a full meal after security. Bring snacks and a bottle to fill before screening, because tap points inside the secure area are not documented.
No lounges, not even for Aurora elites
The Main Terminal has no catalogued lounges, pay-per-use or airline-run, and Aurora does not list a dedicated facility at ADH for status passengers. Seating in the gate area consists of standard rows of chairs within sight of the doors leading to the apron, and power outlets are limited and often grouped along the walls rather than near every seat. Plan on waiting at the gate with everyone else, boarding by walking or bus to the aircraft.
No confirmed shops; think bare-bones regional field
Current airport and flight-tracking sources list no duty-free, newsstand, or general retail inside Aldan’s Main Terminal, and travelers rarely post photos showing branded stores. You may find a basic counter selling snacks or local items on some days, but there is no dependable place for last-minute chargers, SIM cards, or toiletries. Pick up essentials in town before heading to ADH, especially in winter when daytime highs can drop well below 0°C.
Plan for short walks, but add time for ground access
The practical play: treat the airside part of Aldan as a 5-minute walk end to end, but give yourself at least 60–75 minutes at the airport, from arrival at the door through check-in and security for an Aurora Airlines flight. Because the terminal has so few services, finish ATM stops, food runs, and bathroom breaks in town, then head out with everything you need already in your bag.
