Vending Machines

Gate 1’s vending corner is your last-minute backup plan

ACK is tiny, and the Vending Machines in Terminal 1 sit landside near the main waiting area, close to the check-in counters. This is the grab-and-go option when the café is closed or slammed before a 6:00 a.m. departure. Expect standard airport vending pricing: around $2–$4 for snacks and drinks.

You’ll find bottled water, sodas, basic chips, candy bars, and a few cookies and crackers. Selection skews toward big-brand snacks rather than anything local to Nantucket. Machines take credit cards and tap-to-pay; cash readers are sometimes present but not guaranteed, so assume card only if you’re cutting it close to boarding.

The machines sit on the public side of Terminal 1, so you can use them both on arrival and before going through the single security checkpoint. That’s handy if you’re getting picked up and want a quick drink before a 20–30 minute ride into town, or if your ride drops you early and the café hasn’t opened.

Expect zero seating dedicated to the machines themselves; you’re just buying and moving on. Stock can run low after a bank of afternoon Cape Air and JetBlue flights, especially on busy summer weekends. If you care about specific items, buy on arrival rather than hoping they’ll still be there before your return flight.

Tip: grab water here before security; once you’re in the small gate area, your options can shrink fast, especially during off-season schedules.
