By check-in in T1, the Souvenir Shop is the main place to grab a last-minute St. Gallen or Lake Constance gift before your ACH flight.

This is airside in Terminal T1, after security, so you can browse right up until boarding for People’s Viennaline or private-charter departures. Hours aren’t clearly published; assume it tracks flight schedules and is open for the morning and late-afternoon banks. If you have a very early or very late operation, don’t bank on it being open and buy in town instead.

The focus is souvenirs, not travel essentials. Expect regional items tied to St. Gallen and eastern Switzerland, plus Lake Constance themes, rather than big-brand electronics. Pricing skews higher than in town, as usual for a small regional airport, but you’ll still find smaller items under CHF 10 for kids or colleagues. If you need actual luggage or serious tech, you won’t find much here.

Stock typically runs to magnets, keyrings, mugs, and local-style gifts that fit in cabin baggage, so nothing that will cause issues at security in T1. Food items are usually prepacked, so check for customs limits if you’re heading into the EU. Staff are used to tight turnarounds on short-haul flights and can ring you up in under two minutes if boarding has started.

Plan one concrete thing: if your taxi or bus gets you to Sankt Gallen Altenrhein more than 30 minutes before a T1 departure, walk straight here first, then sit down with your coffee afterwards.
