Hudson News

T1

Gate-side in T1, Hudson News is your last-minute grab spot

Hudson News sits airside in Terminal T1 at César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport, handy once you’re through security and past the main duty free. It’s a standard newsstand setup: shelves of snacks, drinks, and travel basics you forgot to throw in your bag. Prices skew higher than downtown Arrecife supermarkets, but in line with other Spanish airports, so a bottled water or soft drink typically lands around the €2–€3 mark.

Opening hours generally track the T1 schedule, with Hudson News running from early-morning departures around 06:00 through the last evening flights. Expect the usual mix of Spanish and international magazines, plus a limited rack of English-language papers for UK and Irish holiday traffic. You’ll also see paperbacks in English and Spanish, though the selection is small compared with a full bookstore.

For food, it’s mainly pre-packaged: crisps, chocolate bars, cookies, and a few grab-and-go sandwiches. If you want a real meal, you’re better off hitting the cafés in T1 first and using Hudson News for a backup snack or something for the flight. Basic travel items are here too: phone chargers, headphones, neck pillows, and small toiletry kits, useful if your liquids bag didn’t survive security.

One simple move: buy water here after security in T1 so you’re set for the often warm, sometimes delayed holiday departures off Lanzarote.
