Beer, wine, and basic bar snacks inside The Club Lounge Bar
The Club Lounge Bar sits airside in Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, serving T1 and T2 passengers who want a drink before boarding. You’ll find it inside the lounge area rather than in the public check-in hall, so plan to go through security first. Seating runs along the bar counter and a few small tables, and it’s usually quieter than the main departure concourse at ABV.
Drinks focus on bottled beers, simple mixed drinks, and a few standard wines by the glass, typical for Abuja airport pricing. Expect local lagers plus a handful of international labels, with cocktails skewing toward classics like gin and tonic or rum and Coke. Food leans snacky: think small plates, light bites, and things that hold up to a quick 20–30 minute stop rather than a full meal.
Service pace varies with the departure banks out of ABV’s T1 and T2, so at peak evening departures staff may be juggling several orders at once. Turnover is high around 60–90 minutes before international flights, and seats near the bar itself tend to free up faster than tables. There’s usually a TV on with sports or news, and power outlets are limited, so don’t count on charging more than a phone.
Payments are in Nigerian naira, and cards are generally accepted, though it’s smart to have backup cash in case the POS terminals go down. Prices run higher than central Abuja but in line with other Nigerian airport lounges and bars. If you care about boarding groups, give yourself at least 10–15 minutes to walk back to most international gates from the bar area.
Tip: Ask for your bill as soon as your last drink or snack arrives; payment systems at ABV can take an extra 5–10 minutes just as boarding calls start hitting the screens.
