Gate-side souvenir stop in T1

Dya Free Shop sits airside in Terminal T1 at Félix-Houphouët-Boigny, so you hit it after security and before boarding. It runs on typical flight-bank hours, opening early for the morning departures and staying open into the late evening when the Europe flights go. Think last-minute Cote d’Ivoire souvenirs more than hardcore duty free liquor shopping.

The focus here is souvenirs: locally themed gifts, small handicrafts, and country-branded items with “Abidjan” and “Côte d’Ivoire” printed on them. Pricing lands squarely in airport territory: keychains and magnets under €10 equivalent, T‑shirts and bags climbing toward €20–€30 depending on design. Stock skews touristy rather than artisanal; you’re not getting market prices, you’re paying for the T1 location.

Alcohol and tobacco are limited compared with the larger duty free stores in other African hubs like ACC or LOS, so Dya Free Shop in T1 works more as a gift stop than a serious duty free run. Snacks and small sweets are present, but they’re secondary to the souvenir shelves. If you want specific brands or big 1‑liter spirits, buy in town or at your origin airport instead.

Plan 10–15 minutes here between security and your T1 gate; more than that and you’re probably overthinking a fridge magnet. Best move: walk one loop around the shop, pick a couple of compact items that fit easily in a backpack, then head to your boarding area before queues build.
