Most ABJ regulars swear there is no real lounge in T2.

The space is officially called Domestic Lounge in Terminal T2, open from 6 AM to 10 PM. On paper it carries a 4.0 rating and shows up in some databases, but frequent domestic flyers on African forums talk mostly about standard seating and one or two cafés instead of a classic lounge setup.

Access rules list Priority Pass plus paid entry via a $20 day pass. That price level at ABJ sits close to a full meal and drink in the public café areas of T2, so you should weigh it against simply using terminal seating and buying food as you go. There is no reliable menu or bar list published for this lounge, so count on basics at best.

The catch: multiple domestic passengers on forums say they have never seen a staffed lounge airside in T2, only a basic waiting area near the gates and a couple of snack counters. Several regulars mention that domestic operations at ABJ are intentionally no-frills, so premium cabin tickets on local carriers usually do not translate into a strong lounge product here.

Most frequent flyers on ABJ domestic routes report they just sit at the gate or in the landside cafés in T2 before clearing security. That pattern suggests the Domestic Lounge either operates quietly, with minimal offering, or appears only during certain hours. If you hold Priority Pass, it may be worth walking the concourse once, but do not build your whole pre-flight plan around it.

Watch out for mismatched expectations: aggregator apps may show glossy generic photos and that 4-star rating, but first-hand reports are almost nonexistent. If you do decide to try a $20 day pass, treat it as a bet on extra seating and possibly air conditioning, not on hot food buffets or showers.

Practical tip: arrive in T2 about 90 minutes before a domestic departure, check in, walk past the gates once to see if the Domestic Lounge is actually open, and if it looks dead or locked, pivot immediately to the public café so you still have time for a coffee and snack.
