The service runs 24/7 as long as cars are available in the app’s AAR zone, which is geofenced around the main terminal and parking lots. You need a valid driver’s license approved in the GreenMobility app before landing, and pricing typically shows in DKK per minute or per hour block when you select a car. Cars are usually compact EVs, so plan for a realistic luggage limit of one large suitcase plus a carry-on per person.

How to use GreenMobility at Aarhus Airport

• 1. Set up the app before you fly. Download the GreenMobility app, upload your license, and wait for approval, which can take a few hours, so don’t leave it until you’re already at AAR Terminal T.
• 2. Land at AAR and turn on mobile data. As soon as you’re in the arrivals hall in Terminal T, open the app and switch to the Aarhus Airport zone to see if cars are currently parked on-site.
• 3. Walk to the car park. Follow airport signs for parking outside Terminal T; the app map will show the exact spot, usually within a few hundred meters of the main exit.
• 4. Inspect and unlock via the app. Check the car’s plate number, walk around once, note any damage in the app, then tap unlock; doors open within about 10–20 seconds after confirmation.
• 5. Drive toward Aarhus or nearby towns. Central Aarhus is roughly 40–45 km from the airport, and you can park the car within GreenMobility’s designated city zone shown in the app, then end the trip there.
• 6. Returning to the airport. If you start in Aarhus city, drive back to AAR and leave the car in the marked GreenMobility/regular parking area near Terminal T, then end the rental in the app once you’re inside the allowed zone.

One practical tip: back up your phone with a physical driver’s license and enough battery to last the full 40–45 minute drive between AAR and central Aarhus, because you need the app both to start and to end the rental.
