Coffee and snacks before T1 security at AAN
This basic Coffee Shop sits in the public area of Al Ain International Airport’s T1, so you can meet someone or grab a drink before check-in and security. It carries a generic name—just “Coffee Shop” on signs—but it’s the main sit-down option landside at AAN.
Expect standard airport pricing: a regular coffee or tea usually runs in the AED 8–12 range, with soft drinks slightly higher, and simple sandwiches or pastries in the AED 12–25 bracket. There’s no table service; you order at the counter and carry your tray to one of the small tables nearby.
The menu sticks to basics: hot and iced coffee, black tea and mint tea, bottled juices, plus a rotating set of pre-made sandwiches and wrapped pastries. If you need something quick before an early flight, a croissant and coffee combo often totals under AED 20, which is about as budget-friendly as this airport gets.
Coffee Shop is open in sync with T1’s first and last departures, roughly from three hours before the first morning flight until the final evening departure closes. If you’re arriving at AAN late at night, you may still catch it open, but after the last outbound flight check-in ends, shutters can come down with little warning.
Seating runs to a couple dozen chairs right in the main departures hall of T1, with views of the central check-in area, so it’s easy to keep an eye on the Emirates or Etihad counters while you sip. Power outlets are limited, and there are no dedicated charging stations at the tables, so top up your phone elsewhere in the terminal first.
Tip: If your ride drops you at AAN more than two hours before departure, grab a drink and snack at Coffee Shop landside, then head through security once your airline’s T1 check-in counters open.
