Sandwich counter airside in T1 for tight turnarounds

Right after security in T1 departures, DELI is the small takeaway counter you see before the sit-down pub. It’s airside only, so you need a boarding pass in hand. Think cold sandwiches, basic snacks, and coffee for short-haul hops around Scandinavia, with prices in the mid $$ airport range.

DELI runs as a stand-up counter, not a restaurant, so you order at the till, grab your food, and carry it to the nearby seating by the gates. Most reviews mention pre-packed sandwiches and wraps in the 60–85 DKK bracket, bottled drinks, and barista-style coffee. Rating sits around 3.5 out of 5 on Google, which tracks with “fine, not memorable” feedback.

Food is almost all cold: standard ham-and-cheese, chicken, vegetarian options, plus pastries and chocolate bars. Hot meals are essentially a miss here, so if you want something cooked, you’re better off walking over to the pub in T1 before your flight to CPH or OSL. For coffee, DELI is quicker than the pub, and you can usually be in and out in under 5 minutes outside of morning bank times.

Regulars on Google say they use DELI as the backup plan when boarding starts in 20 minutes and there’s no time to sit down. The routine: grab a sandwich, a 0.5 L water, and a latte, then eat at the gate while SAS or Norwegian boards. It’s very much “get fuel, move on” rather than a place to hang around.

Watch out for: several reviewers call out “airport-high” prices for what is basically a pre-packed sandwich and drink. Expect to pay restaurant-level money for supermarket-level simplicity, even by Danish standards.

Practical tip: check the cooler and pastry case before ordering coffee; if the sandwich selection looks picked over at peak 06:00–08:00 departures, walk to the pub first instead of settling.
