This is Aalborg’s contract lounge in Terminal 1, airside, open daily 05:00–20:00. Think quiet workspace with basic snacks and drinks rather than a full-service dining room. It sits past security in the Schengen departures area, so plan to head in only after you’re checked in and through controls.

The food setup runs cold: packaged snacks, cookies, crisps, and sometimes simple bread with spreads, but no hot buffet. Coffee comes from a machine, soft drinks are in fridges, and self-serve alcohol usually means beer, wine, and a couple of basic spirits. If you want a proper meal before a 19:30 departure, eat in the main terminal and use the lounge for a coffee and a seat.

Most visitors treat this as a quiet office away from the main gate area, and you feel that in the layout. Seating is mostly standard lounge chairs and tables, with a few spots where you can open a laptop and plug in. Power outlets exist but not at every seat, so if you need to charge before a 17:00 SAS flight, grab a socket as soon as you walk in.

Access works on Priority Pass and similar programs, plus pay-in at the door when space allows. Because Aalborg Airport Lounge is the only option in T1, it can feel busy around morning bank departures at 06:00–08:00. That said, it’s usually calmer than the public seating near the gates, and you still get Wi‑Fi, snacks, and drinks included in the entry fee.

There’s no shower, no nap room, and no kids’ play area, so plan accordingly if you have a long layover or arrive from a 3+ hour flight. Restrooms are standard and shared with the terminal, not private inside the lounge. If you need to take calls, bring headphones; sound carries in the small space, especially when a group on a 15:00 charter departure comes in together.

One practical tip: grab anything you want from the snack and drink stations by about 19:30, as staff often start tidying up service before the 20:00 closing time, especially on quiet evenings.
